And my Life Tracker is (finally) updated to Session 6! Don’t forget to check out the posts for Session 5 and Session 4 here! And Session 7 here! And Session 8 (the finale!!!)
Close ups and details below the cut!
First of all, for Session 5 I left Scar’s time rolling even though he logged out. His time was not adjusted for that this session and he started close to 8 hours, so I’ve gone back and frozen his time to reflect that, hence the weird horizontal line for his time. He missed about half an hour there, so started Session 6 on par with Skizz.
Similar to Tango and Skizz in the Session 4 post, and Scar in the Session 5 post, there are a handful of people in the graph whose times are slightly different from what was shown on video, but I will justify them.
First, have a zoom in of the last half of Session 5 and all of Session 6:
The bottom of this graph actually goes all the way to zero, so you can really see just how close Jimmy is now! Congrats Scott to somehow not dying at all. Impulse, Tango, and Etho were all dragged into being red names like I suspected, but Scott somehow managed to escape every death, and still has just under two hours to go before he’s red!
Bdubs and Cleo both killed Reds while being Yellow (Joel and Etho, respectively. rip Boat Boys lmao), as self defence. I went back and forth several times whether these count as kills to get time back. In the end I decided to credit them, since Cleo got the 30 minutes automatically, and it wasn’t removed. We don’t know if Bdubs got his 30 minutes (and I suspect not, since the way the death message was, I doubt it happened automatically, and I doubt he would have asked Grian for the time given how apologetic he was to Joel about it), but I think they either both should get the 30 minutes or both not get it. I’m happy to adjust it next week depending on what happens in Session 7, but for now they both get that kill credit.
The other major difference is Joel. He ends his video with a half hour less than what my graph shows, but that’s because when he killed Impulse and Skizz with a TNT minecart, he only gained 30 minutes for it, and not time for both kills when he should’ve. Impulse also got a double TNT minecart kill (on Cleo and Scar), but he he was only 5 seconds into being Red when that kill happened. Impulse argued that meant the first kill bumped him to yellow so the second one didn’t count. Originally I believed both should count, but upon further consideration... that’s the same line of reasoning they did for Joel’s Boogey kill in Session 2. So at least it’s consistent. Joel, however, was at under 5 hours when he did his double kill this session, so that line of reasoning doesn’t apply to him, and he should have gotten to just under 6 hours, rather than just under 5 and a half.
If they haven’t corrected Joel’s half hour he is owed by next session, then I will adjust these times accordingly... and then argue that this removes the erroneous extra half hour he got back in Session 2 during the Boogey kill so that’s in line with the ruling of Green names killing for every time after that. However, I’d prefer not to have to justify it that way, but we’ll see.
Here also is the Session 6 only close up:
I like the way that other than four people crowding at just under 7 hours, everyone is at a unique time from each other. Scott is an hour and a half ahead of Impulse, and almost 3 and a half hours ahead of average, and 6 and a half hours ahead of Jimmy. Scott currently has three times as much time as Jimmy.
I suspected last week that as the majority of people dipped below Red, they’d drag the rest down, and you can really see the sharp drop from all three Yellow TIES. TIES started the session off with the most time on average, and are now in third place. Congrats to Mean Gills for being the only team whose average time never dropped below 8 hours - it’s a well done for neither of them dying, and for Martyn killing to gain time.
This graph is definitely a mess of lines, and I’m gonna spend some time seeing if I can toggle who you see on the graph, so maybe it’ll make individual lines easier to see. If I succeed, I’ll definitely reblog this with the results, otherwise we can still with this.
Now time for some data screenshots.
Session 5 (so you can see the changes for Scar’s time)
Session 6 first hour
Session 6 second hour
(Session 6 was too large to fit on the screen at once at the zoom level I was using, hence the split. Also, the fact that two hours and ten minutes of Session 5 is approximately the same amount of space as the less bloody hour of Session 6... yeah...)
And the entire six sessions entirely zoomed out!
Hope you enjoyed this! I’ll see you later with either more graphs if I can figure out the toggleable graph thing, or if I decide to graph the average times for each team (because I got the numbers and it looks cool so I need to see the graph now), or otherwise next week with Session 7! And hopefully Session 7 doesn’t take me as long, but given that everyone will be Red by the end of the session (unless Scott doesn’t die and *also* is Boogeyman and successfully kills someone... but given Scott is less than 2 hours from Red, and the sessions are minimum 2 hours long, he should end on Red), there is likely to be similar levels of chaos and carnage as Session 6, so we’ll see how it works out!
#limited life smp#24lsmp#traffic life smp#probably gonna be less rambling in the tags this time bc i really rambled in the post proper#i had such trouble working out the time#turned out at one point i accidentally awarded martyn an hour for killing tango the first time instead of 30 minutes#and other concerns that i mostly sorted out#anyway im hungry im gonna get lunch now once i hit post#but yeah i love this lil graph series#my spreadsheets
